Syncplify Server! version schedule

Software development never stops. Every so often a new version is released, to add features, improve existing ones, and fix bugs discovered or reported by users and customers.

When the changes are big enough, the release gets a new major version number, and that is how you go from v4.x to v5.x, then to v6.x, and so on. When that happens, the previous major version goes into phase out and remains under Limited Long-Term Support (LLTS) for a set period, to give users and customers a comfortable way to plan and execute the upgrade to the current major version. Once the LLTS period ends, the old version becomes retired, and from that moment on it receives no support of any kind: no bug fixes, no development, no customer service. With an active maintenance plan you can still upgrade to the then current version and receive support for that one.

This is the schedule of every Syncplify Server! version's release, phase out and retirement:

Customers on v6 and v7 are expected to move to v8 before their retirement dates. Please plan your updates and upgrades according to this schedule.
