Upgrading from v6/v6 to v8 (Linux)
System Requirements
Before starting the upgrade process, ensure your Linux system meets the requirements for Syncplify ServerServer! v7v8 and that you have administrative privileges (sudo access).
The procedure below only applies to stand-alone server upgrades, if you're running a Syncplify Server! v6/v7 HA cluster, please, check out this article instead.
Prerequisites Checklist
ActiveTake a full system backup or VM snapshot to quickly go back in time should anything bad happen- Have an active Syncplify
ServerServer!v6v6/v7 installation - Valid license with active maintenance/support plan coverage (as a general rule, an active maintenance plan
coverageis required for all upgrades) - Have
